24-10-09 to 31-10-09 just back from etang photos

photo,s from our trip to etang 24-10 to 31-10 full lake booking for 8 of us and some nice carp on the bank over the weeks fishing.
you are all thinking whats going on in this photo well ed had to go into get a carp out the weed so we made him have a photo with the carp.it must of been the coldest night of the week as soon as we had taken his photo ed was in the shower to warm himself up then back to his swim to put his rods back on the spots for the rest of the night . nice one ed
just one thing do not enter the water unless you have some one around just in case you need help if this happens to you call some one before you do any thing like this just like ed did there was two of us on the bank to help ed out .
graham got the boat out to help ed when a carp went deep in to the weed . we spent about 20 mins with the rod on the rod rest to see if the carp would come out on its own with slack line the carp was not moving it was deep in the weed . so the best way to get a carp out of weed is to get over the top and help it though it . in the net and on the bank at 30lbs nice one guys

We got to etang about 11.30 am graham was there to meet us and show some of our guests around the lake and to take a look at the swims .
Mark Taler phil fished the road side swims ant and dee picked grandstand and robin picked durrants swim ed was in mid drive and myself and dave was in the beach swim.
Robin and Taler was on the carp from day one both of them taking 20 + carp each from low doubles up to 40lbs . ed was taking fish slowley throught the week and he ended up with 15+ and three new pbs as the fish got bigger over the week . ant had a pb on his first fish a nice 45lbs mirror and he had three more over the week at 19lb and two low 30s this was ants second time fishing france the last time he blanked at a top venue out there but this trip made up for it but we all have been there and blanked in france . myself and dave had a slow week i was fishing three rods dave was fishing to as this was his first proper week fishing for carp the first run come to left hand rod so i said to dave take it just to get him off the mark and to get a carp under his belt. in the net at 30lbs nice start and a new pb dave had 5 carp over the week the bigest being 38lbs . mark and phil had a slow week till about wednesday then the fish moved over there baits photos to come from them both .
All in all we had a good weeks fishing good food as i say myself as i did the cooking for the week. full bellys and carp on the bank what more can you ask for and the weather was good and the socials where good over the week .
graham and jane have put a lot of hard work in to this venue a warm welcome and a coffee or tea on arrival after a long drive form where we live . lots of room on all the swims and kept nice and clean after each party leave the venue . showers nice and clean and charging points for your phones and baitboats and freezers for your food and bait . fresh eegs every day from the resident chickins.
just to say thanks to ant dee ed dave mark phil tyler robin and most of all to graham and jane

hi steve,
just like to say a big thanx for the trip mate i had a top week and without doubt the best weeks fishing in france i've ever had, so cheers for all your hard work mate the fishing was outstanding and the company was better oh and your food was sound as pound!!!
Top venue and really nice hosts bring on etang for next year oh and fordy get on it.

thanks mate we had a good week out there and we are now looking a booking the same week for next year as the guys want to get back out there so there will be some spaces for guests
we did a full package for all the guys whot consisted of ferry tolls fuel weeks food full english breakfast and diner most nights we had potatoes or mash potatoes pork chops or chicken drum sticks or steak to nights out the week we had a chicken curry and a beef curry with rice and nann breads . all the guys where well happy with all of this ..

hi steve,
let me know when you have dates in mind for next year at etang, would love to get back on it so put me down for it if there is room. spoke to fordy the other day and i'm sure he will be up for it.

That's a great haul of fish, some brilliant pictures, glad you all had a good week. No end to Steve's talents I had no idea he was a Budding Gordon Ramsey.
Had a short session yesterday with Dean, his stove was a godsend coffee in constant supply, I may have to invest in some cooking facilities it makes all the difference. We'll have to move up from Pot Noodles though  .
